Consumer organisation Which? is reporting that eBayer users are paying up to £5 to get their hands on Spotify invites. Spotify’s free service has been officially invite-only in the UK since September, and invites have become much sought after.

In fact, although the invite-only system has created a useful media buzz for the service, anyone can sign up for Spotify Free in the UK without having to pay for or otherwise chase an invite.

Update: Spotify has now tightened up its sign-up process, and invites are once again required in the UK. If you require an invite see here.
