Spotify founder speaks to the BBC

Spotify co-founder and CEO Daniel Ek has given a wide-ranging interview to the BBC in which he discusses the future of the service. There are no huge revelations, but a few interesting comments regarding the amount paid to artists, the removal of some music, the UK invite system, and the US launch. Ek says that rumours of low payments to artists aren’t accurate, and blames music removals on “artist-specific issues”. He says he doesn’t see the UK invite system being permanent, and says the company is in the final stages of preparing for a US launch. Read the full interview here.
